Kari MacDonald (formerly Kari Lichtle) graduated from Michigan State University in 1998 with a BA in Arts and Letter - Prelaw. She went on to receive her Juris Doctorate in 2001 from Michigan State University College of Law (formerly known as the Detroit College of Law). She sat for the Michigan Bar Exam in July of 2001 and passed on her initial attempt.
After practicing in Michigan for two years in the primary areas of Family Law, Civil Litigation and Probate estates, she became engaged to a Florida resident. She closed up shop in the late fall of 2003 and relocated to Tampa, Florida. In March of 2004 she sat for the Florida Bar Exam and secured her license in May 2004.
For several years Kari practiced out of a small to midsized worker’s compensation firm in Tampa before slowly moving back to her Family Law roots. In June 2009 she opened up her own practice in Brandon, Florida focusing almost solely on family law matters. She regularly handles cases in Hillsborough, Polk and Pasco Counties. Over the past several years her practice has gradually grown and the firm now handles additional legal matters such as personal injury, estate planning, business litigation, collection cases and probate estates. Kari is a member in good standing of the Michigan Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association. She is a member of the Family Law and Young Lawyers Divisions of the Florida Bar Association as well as the Brandon Bar Association. She is also involved in the Riverview Chamber of Commerce, the Riverview Record Busters Chapter of Business Networking International and the National Association of Professional Women.
Kari is a working, married mother of two wonderful and spunky little girls. Her personal goal is to provide her clients with personal, affordable and competent legal representation in a variety of legal arenas. She is devoted to serving clients in the greater Tampa Bay area and would do an excellent job handling all of your legal needs.
